Privacy Policy

Who we are

GHRL Ltd is committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to our web site. In particular, we want you to know that we are not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. This Privacy Policy provides detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure. Our website address is: http://ghrl.io.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

For the basic functioning of the website and your experience as a visitor, we may collect:

Your name and email address (and in some cases, we may ask for a mailing address in order to fulfil shipments)

Your password for your account on https://ghrl.io

If you participate on the forum or leave comments on the site, what you share is saved on our server for display as intended only. You may request to have your personal data at any time, or to have your comments removed permanently.

Our website uses cookies to collect information to ensure the smooth functioning of our site and our ability to create the most trouble-free user experience. This includes information about browsing behaviour by people who access the website. Detailed information is set out in our Cookie policy (below).

Comments and Contact Forms

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

This site uses tracking cookies for Google Analytics to collect anonymous data for the improvement of our website and services. When someone visits https://ghrl.io, Google Analytics collects standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share users’ data with any outside organization, company, or other entity. Any personal data you submit to this site, such as name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as information about cookies is used for the purposes of accepting donations to our crowdfunding campaigns. In addition, you may be asked if you would like to add your name and contact information to our mailing list. If you agree, your name and email address will be stored on our database with our newsletter subscription service (Mailchimp). If you use the site’s contact form, your name, contact information, and any message you choose to convey will be stored on our database for the purposes of responding to your requests. Personal data generated from technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third party embeds is not shared or sold to any outside parties.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information to keep you informed about GHRL Ltd’s activities; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to ensure that our records are correct and to check every now and then that you’re satisfied with your GHRL experience. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations or businesses.

We use a third-party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
